That’s not first hand experience, that is second hand experience. I’m assuming you’ve been driving long enough to know that you can only believe half the stories you hear in the drivers lounge or over the lunch counter, and the other half is questionable at best.
As for seeing stuff like the pics you post constantly, yeah, stuff happens. I’ve even seen some Swift drivers do some stupid things, but that’s on the drivers, not Swift. But I’ve seen way more incidences with other companies that I ever have with Swift. I personally watched a Werner driver take down a chainlink fence. Most recently, I saw an ATS flatbed try to make a u-turn in the corner of a Flying J parking lot and jacked up his trailer nearly dumping his load. My point is, one, it’s the individual driver who makes these mistakes, not the company, and two, with so many companies having accidents like these, where are the threads posting pics of them? Do you have similar threads on the Werner board? Or Schneider? How about J. B. Hunt? USA Truck? No, because there is a prejudicial hatred for Swift.

Not talking about lunch counter talk...
I mean dealing with swifties out on the highway ..... trying to maximize their driving time at everyone else’s expense.
Had one pass me on the right climbing a hill only to discover the right lane was going way slow....
So just turn left and stuff the guy hauling 107K that space he stuffed into was my cushion....
And he had to be mt or hauling tissues..... because he couldn’t pull a real load up that hill that fast.....
Or the one blocking the fuel island because his dopey fuel card is F’d up....
All to get 30 gallons I think he said.....
Just my latest run-ins with you guys.....
Plus swift screwed boat.....

D.Tibbitt, Joetro and spyder7723 Thank this. -
Pretty sure he meant first hand dealing with idiot drivers employed at swift. Like the 3 that have hit my truck over the years. 1 of them managed to hit me twice on back to back Monday mornings. He got the left fender the first Monday, the very next Monday he got the right fender. Thats 4 times my trucks have been damaged by swift employees. In all 4 encounters i was legally parked.
Now to be fair, i don't believe swift drivers are any worse than other mega carriers. All the big box carriers have some really really bad drivers.D.Tibbitt, Joetro and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had hotshot drivers blow by me and cut over before they’ve completely cleared me, sometimes even moving over with their tandems at my door forcing me onto the shoulder just to avoid getting hit.
I’m not saying Swift is perfect, we all know better than that, I’m just saying every other company on the road, whether it’s a mega carrier or an O/O has done the same things. -
aussiejosh, QuietStorm, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this.

Do you really think Swift is controlling my mind to make me happy where I am at?
I have been controlling things since I was very young.
In high school I had the system down flat. I was absent more days than present, just to work things my own way. I could be there, or not, doing whatever I wanted during that time, and no one was the wiser.
Some days I would go into San Francisco to look at new cars or have some fun at Pier 39. Some days I was in the library at school all day, studying the way I study best.
I was even found out at one point, and nothing came of it. The teachers and admin liked me.
The Swift system is easy to work with, to do things my own way. And that is all I want.
I may be lazy, but I'm not lazy.
That may sound like a contradiction, but it isn't.
I don't want to work hard, but on the other hand I take my responsibilities very seriously.
I just want to live the way I want to live, and have the money to do what I need to do. I get that with Swift.
And they get a safe and reliable driver in return. It is win, win for both of us.
But make no mistake.
I am no ones puppet. Never have been.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Anyone is a puppet who thinks that making $350 a week and and being able to change appointment times because they are lazy or don’t like driving in the dark, is a great place to work. Swift doesn’t want you to think on your own. They aren’t a trucking company anymore. They’re a giant school who cranks out idiots and make a ton of money doing it. And they happen to move freight.

Do Swift cheerleading outfits say BEST IN CLASS across the ###? Lol
D.Tibbitt, PoleCrusher, Joetro and 2 others Thank this.
