Wassup Truckerland. Today is my last day at home. I'm going back to my mistress tomorrow and heading back out. This has been an interesting trip home, to say the very least. Educational and painful. There's a really good reason why those buck-a-mile lease purchase companies make things look and sound easy. Doing it the correct and responsible way is a massive uphill climb. Avoid those companies, by the way, if you are looking at them or even considering it. The money isn't there, and the programs never work. Put in the time, be an adult. It's tough as hell but the payoff is worth it. Do it right. Just be prepared cuz this #### ain't easy. I'm tired and my brain hurts, but my credit is squeaky clean. My rating is about to head into uncharted territory. That of course will mean I now need Lifelock, or something along those lines. Another headache to deal with, fantastic. But, it is what it is. I have worked my tail off on this trip home. Because of that, my loved ones are of course not happy. That tune will change eventually and they'll see me as a hero again, just gotta wait it out. Gotta love the life of a trucker. If we don't get respect from the tards buying stuff in stores that we bring to them, why would I expect it from anyone else. Please pardon my jaded tone, I've just crawled through a mine field and half my limbs got blown off. There's a really good reason why company drivers continue their career as company drivers. It's clear-cut, it's easy to understand, it's relatively headache-free. I can tell you one thing with absolute confidence. If you're gonna be a company driver, do it here. I have seen what's out there. Millis is amazing. I'll tell you another thing... If I hear another driver complaining about some inane issue about this company, I might have to come to blows. It is unbelievable how easy we have it here. I don't care if that statement sounds contrived. It's the absolute truth. But there is of course that group of people in any workplace that feels the need to complain about everything. You can't fix stupid, and you can't make everyone happy. Those people will NEVER have my respect until they strap on a pair of balls and try to do what I just did. Shut up, do your job, be thankful to your employer. And grow up, because that would help as well. I guess I needed to vent a little, thanks for listening. I'll catch y'all on the road tomorrow. Be safe out there everyone. Please check your pins. Have a killer evening, and keep the rubber down. Peace y'all.

I didn't have any issues last year, they kept me busy. But, holidays are holidays. It is what it is. Freight is always stagnant immediately before and after Turkey Day and Christmas.

Yeah, my husband actually took 5 days off and just started yesterday(early, but I'll take it) since its our sons bday tommarow anyways. And we figured the holidays would be quite slow.. it was pretty slow this weekend also.

I learned it usually doesn't pay to work the holidays. Ive worked 2 and both times ended up doing a 34 on the road so nomore holidays for me. As for winter, my 1st winter here (2 yrs ago) Georgia became the black hole. If you hit GA anytme after like 4pm on Fri there was a good chance you were sitting till Monday. It wasnt unheard of to have a list over 50 in CVille area. It was bad. Heard last yr was much better though. Come Dec I usually go into slowdown mode mentally and dont worry bout chasing the miles till winter is bout up. Go home more and relax, to much stupidity takes place once white stuff starts fallint from the sky.

Have a good Thanksgiving everyone. Ill be back in Memphis Mon morn aftee enjoying turkey day and celebrating my twins 5th bday. Be Safe

Wassup everyone. Well, I didn't make it very far down the road, but there's no rush on this load. I'm in Bellville Ohio tonight. After a long wait, I was given a load from Smuckers that picked up in Orrville and goes to Fairburn Georgia. I feel like I've run this load about a million times. It's dnh at the final, and it isn't due until Monday. However I can drop it 24/7 anytime between now and then. If I had gone a little further tonight I could have made it there tomorrow. But, it's gonna be Thanksgiving, so there's almost no point. There won't be any loads available, and I would be very close on my 11. There's a truck stop around the corner but it's absolute garbage. And it's one of those hole-in-the-wall places that have been taken over by the local truckers. There's never a spot, lots of dropped trailers, and cars guarding truck spots. No thanks. So tomorrow I'm heading to Cartersville for the night, and I'll deliver on Friday morning. Better chance for getting another load, and I'll have a fresh set of hours to work with. Maybe it'll make a difference and maybe it won't, but I like my odds better taking that option. So it looks like I'll be spending Turkey Day in a spot where there is zero chance of getting some bird. If it weren't for the fact that my wife is heading out of town tonight, I would've just gone back home for the night and spent Thanksgiving with her. Wasn't meant to be. That's cool though, I had a lot of time at home, and was honestly ready to be back out anyhow. I missed the road, and it's good to be back. Just out of curiosity, is there anyone here with Garmin unit who is using the HOS function? If so, I have a couple questions for ya. I just started using it today just to see how well it works. It appears as though I can export records, but I'm not totally satisfied with the detail of it's tracking. Maybe I'm overlooking something. Also, if you have a Garmin I just found a nifty feature this morning that I'm going to try out tomorrow, I'll report on it once I give it a spin and get a chance to kick the tires a little. It looks pretty awesome, and I feel like an idiot for not noticing it before. It'll chew on my phone data a little, but I doubt it'll matter. For those of you who are out on the road and missing the holiday with your family, I feel your pain. Hope you find a spot to grab some turkey. If you're at home with family, I hope you have a great day with them. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I hope you have a safe and joyous holiday. Be safe out there guys. Keep the rubber firmly planted on the ground, and check those pins. Peace y'all, talk at ya tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a great holiday at home and or while on the road. Today was the last day of class in Richfield two of us will test for our CDL on Friday and the 3rd will test on Tuesday. Millis gave us the option to go home for the holiday but I decided to stay up here as I didn't want to go home for just one day since I have my test friday morning. The training has been top notch so far and our instructor Jamie has been awesome to learn from. The three of us in class are ready to step it up with the next phase of training. No words can truly express how I feel about Millis and the opportunity that was given to me.
