I have seen those inflation systems that still have the valve stem to check the air pressure or even add air to it. It’s near the hub on some systems.

Checking them isn't hard, just takes more work. Just start pulling hoses, and check them. Just takes a pair of pliers.
And the lights don't always work, but you can climb underneath and make sure the valve is still open. I've had a few where the tires weren't leaking but the air system was leaking a significant amount of air. I've shut those off, but always made sure the shop was made aware of it when I got the trailer back. I've picked up a few, however, where someone had shut the system off, due to a major leak, and no one had repair anything, so a slow leak in a tire had let it air down.
Personally I hate those systems in trailers that get shared, they are harder to check the air pressures, more work anyway, and more stuff to go wrong.Lepton1, SingingWolf and ZVar Thank this. -

Starting to think I was heavy on that side of the trailer and it was tilted for a bit or there was a dip in the road.
During my pre-trip this morning, the tires were still good but I had the same sidewall rub marks on my drives. And I know I didn't hit anything
