I don’t *think* they are, but I’m not the arbiter of all things Raven.

 

No absolutely not. They use to a few years ago share a trailer pool or something of the sorts is all.

At least the pat on the butt or the kiss on the cheek while they're bending you over makes it less unpleasant, and the holiday bonus of KY made things slide a little easier...but, no reach around...that was against company policy

Like it was mentioned, that was a shared trailer pool deal. When Steve and Judy split with Arnold and started the Raven they run today,(there was a Raven associated with their original company Silver Eagle, but when Arnold Logistics went from a group of independent companies to a rebranded single company called Arnold Transportation, they left). They had limited resources and needed to have a specific number of trailers available in order to meet P&G's contract requirements...plus they had their brokers license and would broker the loads outside their normal freight lanes to Heartland for a nominal broker fee and use of Heartland's equipment. The problem was, sometimes a load going out west was loaded on a Raven trailer, and was a drop and hook, so getting it back east and keeping track of where their trailers were was a logistics nightmare. I believe that all ended when the recession hit and everybody was scrambling for any freight they could get.
