This is encouraging. I am moving back east and Schneider Trucking is who I am talking with. I should start training in January at JBLM and then God willing start driving back east.

I’ve had Shabbat off, the last 3 years, ב״ה. I run flatbed and flatbed receivers tend to be closed Sat and Sun. Consequently, we run Sunday morning to Friday afternoon and shut down for our 34hr break. If I get stuck out on the road due to mishap, my company knows I will shut down and stay parked for my weekly 34 wherever I may be. I also use synagogue location apps, pre-Shabbat, to determine where I’ll shut down.

I'm a Sabbath keeper just finishing CDL training. Was encouraged by your post as I was already looking into Schneider. Glad things worked out for you. I'm curious how you handled orientation as it runs 18-21 consecutive days. Not sure what to do with that...

Make sure you tell both the recruiter before leaving for orienation and the rsdr once you gey there. Once matched with a TE make sure you communicate your needs to him.Isaac11 Thanks this.

As “Gentleroger” said, is exactly what I did. I made known to my Recruiter, and everyone else who needed to know as I came in contact with that person. As a result, I never showed up for training on Sabbath, rather, I attended church local to the training facility during the 3-weeks I was there.

If I worked for little Debbie, there’s a good chance my load of twinkies might show up empty at the receiver. Just sayin
