You took the position, you back it up.

psanderson declined, so he's out of the picture.

As I've said before, I've done some looking in Title 49 of the USC code, as suggested in the PM you posted. Couldn't find anything. If you can, feel free to post it, and we'll go take a look for ourselves, too.

Then sadly at this point the information is just hearsay..

I'm really not trying to be argumentative. But would believe information that you could not verify, especially if you believe it to be opposite of everything else you've read and heard?..

So...you are willing to believe whatever a person in an authority role tells you without verifying it for yourself...simply because it fits in with what you believe to be true...

    Interesting...

No you didn't "give the info proving you cant. You just posted a PM from a retired DOT officer who says so, but no actual cites of a law.

well i have been trucking since you were a itch in your daddys pants and it has always been like that. You cant find one thing that says you can carry across all 48 states. There is plenty of info that you might be ok in a few the way the laws read but in a cmv crossing statelines for business you cant prove nothing. Everything pertains to your family in your motorhome/family car and so on. A CMV is different

That's like proving something that doesn't exist.. Laws usually show what is illegal. If it's not specifically against the law, it's implied that it's legal..

If it is specifically against the law, it shouldn't be too hard to find. Several of us have researched, and can't find any law against it..

I'm still not saying that your friend is wrong, I'm just not satified that the information is accurate. That's why I would like something more to verify it than "Someone said" or "I don't think you can"..

well you can take any law and use that reasoning. the law can be twisted to one advantage alot...till they get caught.

I'm going to say this one last time... I'm not saying you're wrong. But how can you keep arguing that you're right without any substantive proof.

I just want to know for sure, so I know whether or not I'm breaking the law..

OK well start asking dot when you see them, i dont know how to prove it to you that you will accept. You can be a licenced fire arms dealer and not carry in a cmv.
