When I got XM several yrs ago, my cb use went to "hardly", b4 that it was "most of the tiime". As someone else said the constant complaining/argueing got on my nerves turning a good day into a bad day. True, in the old days the cb saved me from getting into traffic backups but now a days I just take the chance rather than listen to alll the bs except in winter weather or fog 2 listen for wrecks/ stopped traffic etc. It is useful 2 contact shipprs 4 dock info and sometimes u can even get "local info" on it.
How often do you use/listen to the CB when driving?

I keep mine on all the time, but in a traffic jam or rush hour, I tend to turn it down....I get tired of all the complaining/stupidity....well...unless I'm in the mood to rile folks up! LOL!

I have the CB and HAM on everytime Im in my pickup. I also have a scanner on listening to the police/fire to see whats going on.
-
Coming home last night there I heard a wreck had just happened 2 miles in front of me around a curve. I was alerted and was prepared to stop if needed to assist in medical treatment or help until help arrived. As I came around the curve the hammer had a ambulance stopped in it. I saw no police and think the ambulance just happened to come upon it. Several cars were involved most were in the median. Several cars were parked along both sides to help or gawk. I did not stop as help was there and did not want to cause another wreck with me being on the side.
Not long after I passed it I heard there was a semi in the hammer that was not listening. I heard from others that he almost hit the ambulance. -
used to keep it on 100% of the time but now with nitwits and big radios that get on and act like 6 year olds i don't turn it on as much
-
I'd have to say I have mine on 99.9% of the time while I'm rolling down the road. Bear reports, accidents or any other info that might be of interest to me.

My cb comes on when my ignition comes on, I listen to it all the time
-
I only turn on my CB when there is a slow down in traffic. I don't like listening to all of the stupid arguing and otherwise usless comments some of these guys like to make
-
Always on but sq'd back. I can hear across the lane and trucks right around me. Generally within a half mile or so. XM running 24/7 with "Margaritaville" all day and "Spa" when I am sleeping.

All the time unless I am on the phone.
