I've heard of Parking Wars...maybe tonight I will get a chance to see if I can find an episode online to take a look at...

As for NYC...I guess they just can't fire any useless employees or get rid of any wasteful spending. That wouldn't be the government way...

I have a problem when government that was set to serve the people and its laws
But to use said laws to prey on its people is wrong

Uh-oh. Looks to me like another schidt for brains reporter got a ticket so he is going to slant his story to look the way he wants it to.
It could not be that the city is trying to just control the flow of traffic, could it?

What the devil is THAT suppposed to mean?

From what I saw of NYC drivers, they will raise the 66 mil pretty quickly.

I can feel for the folks in the show "Parking Wars". I have had my pick-up towed one night in Philly. What a time, dealing with the parking authority... but hey I did park in the wrong spot... I did not know it at the time I parked, I saw the sign later an the city towed about fifty cars that night. As far as more ticket agents in NY City... If the one they have handed out tickets as required and were not on a quota system, then the city would be getting more bang for their buck... I have never seen them write a ticket for being in the box... they could write plenty of those tickets at every intersection in the city every day and not have a funding shortfall. I don't approve of putting another 100 metermaids on the streets. So we are going to pay another 100 city workers to raise 66 million... they are going to raise 6.6 million per each... That's just crazy...5740 tickets each at $115 . I guess they could do that but man...That's 15.73 tickets per day. Yes it could be done, but talk about a jam in the court system 'cuz a lot of people will tryto fight them... I hope.

I watched Parking Wars the other night and wonder just what
the objective of parking enforcement is?

Is it to promote safety, or to raise revenue?
Reason why I ask is due to a comment made by one of the enforcers
after driving around for a few hours with no action, to wit:
It's been hours since we've written a ticket.
    THAT AIN'T GOOD
    .

    HuH!
I would think it would be the other way around.
Lack of violators would indicate success.
    Wouldn't it?

Are they sayin' success is not an option?

I noticed they even wheel-lock delivery trucks.
I reckon that Coca-Cola delivery truck should have parked around the
block and left the truck unattended as he hand-trucked his delivery
about a quarter mile back to the store, --- probably only have to make
    2 or 3 trips.
(If there was any product left on the truck when he got back)
