I've been through there a few times. Hauled some dry van loads out of the mines in New Mexico. Strangest one was some type of bagged powder dentists use to make false teeth or molds for false teeth. Took the load to St. Louis,MO. Nice long run, but heavy.

Usually just passing through..but the town name always gives me a chuckle...driving through white sands is a beautiful ride..have to drive it during the day.
Nice having truck stops everywhere so you can easily adjust your schedule.
I'll drive daylight hours when driving the desert..the scenery is tremendous. -

Just lost a Laredo run as they double booked it..now headed to Detroit...

I was really looking forward to running the 59/69 from Houston to Laredo..

You know each part of the country has it's good things and not so good things. They all suffer from the problem of no common sense and cell phones. I had some of the greatest pizza in the Bronx, and some of the most superb soul food at the farmers market in Washington DC. I met some of the kindest people in Huntspoint Market. You take those good things and they will out weigh the bad things.
