I definately could not be a teacher today. The urge to knock the snot out of some of the punks today would be too great. I commend those who can do it.

 

If it had been at a school, or if it was a non open carry state, I don't think that they would of given her the carry permit back. she would be in jail somewhere

Charles Whitman was the clocktower sniper. One of the gunboards that I frequent has a member who was present at that...he walked right into that and became real familer with a tree once he realized what was going on.

Students and professors alike returned fire with hunting rifles and such, allowing wounded people to be evacuated, and people to clear the fire zone. They also enabled a team, consisting of a couple of law enforcement officers with a civilian employee of the university leading, to get up into the tower and neutralize Whitman.

 

I'm getting tired of your characterization of people who carry their own protection as crazy. It's annoying.

 

If I saw someone wearing a gun, I wouldn't think there would be anything to worry about.
If I saw someone acting crazy or bizarre, I would worry, it wouldn't matter if they had a gun or not.
In my opinion, the ones who carry guns in plain sight have nothing to hide.

 

The proper response if you encounter someone opencarrying in an area where it is legal to open carry is to...

Ask them how they like their nice piece...

If someone is going to do you harm, they aren't likely to be calmly walking around with a holstered pistol on their hip...

I don't like opencarry for other reasons, but I don't argue about it with those who prefer to open carry...I just prefer to be a little more...discreet...

 

That is How I feel, My personal preference is to conceal, but if you want to show off your piece, OK by me.
