I was driving a new motor home between Phoenix and San Diego, and One crawled into the storage area under the floor, I am so glad that I heard him before the check point, or I might be in that same boat!

How mich time did you serve, have you completed probation? Despite all the negitive responses, here is a positive one.

Take a good look at a local highway construction company job. Start out in the water or end dump truck and maintain your CDL "A". When you see the haul truck arrive on the jobsite, be the first to help the man load or unload the heavy equipment. Offer to train on the haul truck for free on the weekend, or even give up a day a week. Be especially available on off days due to weather On those days, the haul trucks are still moving.

I had a guy do exactly this with me, and it eventually turned into a full time career for him. Most experienced haul truck drivers earn in excess of $70K a year and are home every night. If you are able to move from hot spot to hot spot, you could do more. Construction slow down in the Houston area resulted in me getting back on the road, so beware of any sector of the business that can quickly turn sour.

Reefer work is also a failrly easy segment of our industry that may give you a chance. You will never be able to get a TWIC card, but I would not see a problem with you getting on with a small company that does not haul hazmat. Good luck to you.

i have 2 felonys in 93 due to being young ,stupid and not watching my temper

they will always be there to remind me that i am never as smart as i may think and some how some way my actions will always be seen and judged
but they have not seemed to make it to hard to find work in anything i do but i am always forthcoming of how i got them and that i have a "past" and noone so far has had a issue with it
and my felonys are Grand theft auto -bought car with out title to get out of a bad situation ( should have taken the bus but at 18 you dont think that clearly)
burglary of a dweling ( brokin to a home i was staying at with the friend i was living with with whom i moved to FL with and had a falling out with and was locked out )

both hapened at the same time bought car and went to get my stuff drove all the way to colorado (home) and was popped with the stolen car

dont let theas things lock you out of what you love they are just something that will make you work a little bit harder for what you want and hopefully make you enjoy it that mutch more :biggrin_25525:

did the court send you to do classes about how illegals are good and bad for the economy?

try using a smaller van next time

by the way did any take off running and make it across, do you have pictures of what they look like?

Were they good baseball players, the Dodgers might be interested

by the way what did your sentence look like? what was the charge called? Petty Left? Carrying illegals on back roads?

Do lots of Americans take up this line of buisness? How much money did you make? How long did you get away with it?

and no i'm not Homeland security just wondering, Do you think their still Hiring, does the job come with Benefits?

Try LCT out of Okahumpka florida, they are likely to hire anyone with a cdl and willing to work for 30 cents a mile... it's not the best company, falls in the crapiest one around cataory... but, it's a foot in the door... they are a reefer company, you'll get about 2000 miles a week, the trucks are slow... but it's a job.
The magority of their drivers have horrible daks and/or felonies or something else against them that makes LCT seem appealing... so you might have a chance.
    Good luck!

You have to be kidding me, what on earth did you do? How did you handle the situation when you heard the person down there?

I probably would have done something like this:

    In my best broken Spanish-

"Kay Pasta, El Pollo Loco.... La Bamba, La Bamba, La Bamba... El Taco El

Taco... Burrito.... Lo sento, no mucho denaro... Salga de la cárcel, gratis

    Andale'... " :biggrin_25525:
