Yep, and they won't down stack anything and won't let the driver down stack it either. Toilet paper and paper towels are a couple of the things that won't fit under a rollup door frame. They're loaded two pallets high and no downstacking allowed.

Dont spend $5000 on a 2000 trailer you can get a 2004 wabash duraplate 53 dry van for $5000 i can help you out these are air ride in memphis tn if you live close by i can send you contacts both are private sellers
-
And dont worry about the 10 year rule just make sure it is duraplate and condition is good some shippers will refuse a wood wall because tiny pieces might fall in the product get one that has plated wall and plated roof and make sure cross members are good no bad rust cracks. If you do decide to buy 2000 or older dont spend $5000 you will find something on craigslist and pay $2500 and rest you can buy new virgin tires if you need to just keep looking around your state
DSK333 Thanks this. -

This is a pretty old post. Those trailers are gone but new ones on Craigslist every day.
Just curious, wouldn't insurance show your trailers age and then RMIS/broker or whoever would turn you down if their policy is <10 years?
Also, on rollup doors, freight can shift and get lodged against the door and the doors do screw up themselves on occasion. When they do it is a huge pain in the ###. That's the biggest reason to stay with barn doors. -
kylefitzy Thanks this.

Hey if anybody is still replying to this thread what do you look for on any used van trailer? In other words are there particular problem areas to look for?
Can you check the suspension bushings if you backup empty and Jack the trailer?
I have my own ideas about what I would be looking for, but I'd be curious to hear what anyone else has to say about it.
