Rumor has it that Obama and P.E.T.A. plan to issue game animals
Orange reflective vests that are bullet proof. :biggrin_25525:

BTW, ...... remember Attorney General Elders?
She called for "Safer Bullets" to be manufactured.
I reckon that meant she wanted bullets to be wrapped in a
    condom? :biggrin_25523:

Since I live in a state with water and trees it would be normal to either fish or haul logs or chips since there is a papermill near. I would never fish commercially(went on a shrimp boat once) and worked in the woods when younger. I didn't like it so stayed away. I guess if all else fails I could fall back on it.

On the subject of safe bullets. My nephew told me that bullets are now made somehow that the powder "expires" if you will. He says that if you put bullets up for a long time that they will misfire.
Does anyone have any knowledgable information on this?

From what I can gather it is cheap surplus ammo he is referring to. It is not so much that the powder is made to "expire" as it is the cartridge is a low quality that isn't sealed very well and allows moisture to permeate the casing thus making the powder ineffective.

I have experienced this on some surplus 7.62x39mm rounds in my SKS but have not had that problem with the far more expensive Federal rounds. Sometimes the Federals I find on closeout are older than the surplus rounds as well.
