I'd go the legal route on this. Ask for the difference between the insurance settlement and what you owe plus loss of income, plus any other expenses incurred. They might settle out of court, but... if they don't, also ask for punitive damages. If you have to go to court I'd guess few juries are going to have any issues hammering a company for you with documentation on 33 repair visits on a year old vehicle.

    First thing first.
I hope everyone is having a great thanksgiving.
Gap insurance is when you buy a new truck they are supposed to offer you gap ins.
The big red wire going from the battery box to the glove box.
Yhe investigator told me thats cause for my headlights would blink when shutting off truck.
Keys would be in my hands and the head lights would blink 3 times then stop.
I had the dealership replace that then evrything else started happening.
My dash instruments used to hay wire, resetting themselves while driving,ac switch had to be replace, heater fan switch had to be replace, then my lights started all over again and i told them about lights blinking when shut off.
Told me I had to pay 400.00 to replace head light running module.
Thats not about to happen i said you guys already fixed once.
Call Navistar rep Fred Medieros told me can't do anything for you.
Then turbo was loosing boost thuoght i had a bad turbo bexause it go from 0 to 15 pounds then back to 5 then jump up tp 37 psi.
Brought the truck to cummins told me there was no turbo but put another one on then the turbo still did it then started smoke like a freight train, all it had on it was 89,000 miles on it then went to libberty International told them what was going on came stomp smoke poured uot said stop worrying about the small stuff and drive gd #### thing.
    Week and half later burnt.
I judt wanted to say thank you very very much for getting back to me as fast as you guys did.
Let other people know I would like to know have to try to call navistar tommorrow and monday.

Have you checked into your state's lemon law? Maybe try getting ahold of a local investigative reporter too - I've seen those guys work miracles.

Thats how my truck started off the circuits kept popping brought it back told me nothinh was wrong.
I called Navistar themselves told them whats wrong told me nothing they can do about it we do not reimburse for down time I told him I don't want down time I want a truck that will run.
    Sorry can't help you.
That was from the rep from Navistar Fred Medieros and his boss.
Be careful bud, especially if your turbo starts to act funky like mine, be very careful.
I hope its not the same.
    My thoughts are with you.

Yes I checked into that and NH has lemon law anything 9,000 pounds and less is covered.
Talked to the bbb and they told me they couldn't help me because I don't have the truck anymore and this is a legal matter out of their hands.
Then I call NH auto dealers told them the story said the same it's a legal suit now.
Who ever is going through what I went through I'm sorry, My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I had an international prostar 2007 and had a multitude of problems. Mostly electrical. I had my turbo go out at the 26 k mark. Numerous recalls i had to go to a cummins shop to get repaired. But worst of all there was a problem that the computer had. It kept shutting down my engine while driving with no warning because the computer thought that the engine was getting no oil. It happened near columbus ohio last year during a almost white out snow storm. the truck would run for about 2 to 3 miles at a time b4 shutting off again. Took me 2 hrs to get turned around and get to a cummins shop. yeahhhhh. lol. the company was nice enough to put me in a new Century and i havent had n e more problems :D

I found that the prostars and the 9400I were there problem childs.
Now they don't even manufacture my truck anymore.
I found that when I bought my truck in may of 07 they stopped making my truck in dec 07 and Navistar or dealer never told me about that .
Then I found out they stopped making prostars in 08 dec.
I'm glad you didn't have any real bad problems like fire.
Thank you for your feed back.
