@Chinatown , if you will, sir, what are his options as far as carriers in this area? OTR, local and regional.
Thanks for your time.
Others please chime in if you have something to add. Thanks!

He actually decided to go with Swift. They have a terminal here in Albuquerque. He wanted a regional gig. He's not very computer literate, so I worry about him using a Qualcom. They may be more patient with him. I initially started looking for jobs for him, however, he didn't show any enthusiasm. I wasn't going to do it all myself. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.
He starts orientation this morning.Chinatown Thanks this. -
I've actually been looking for myself as well. Almost went with Mesilla Valley. However, I read a lot about them here. And they wanted to give me a dedicated route running along I70 in Colorado. Not going to do that with my 7 months experience. I think its a gig no one wants. Not when there are other options.

I doubt he'll like Swift. They merged with Knight and now under Knight management. Real penny pinchers and also do hair follicle drug test.
You live in Colorado?
Abilene Motor Express hires from most places; dry van and a few reefer trailers. Trucks run 72 mph. Think they have refrigerators and some other driver comfort items.
A&A Express out of Brandon,SD does lots of Southwest runs and no Northeast runs. Trucks have APU.

As I am sure you know, Abq is a tough town for freight. I ended up going with Navajo and that worked out pretty well for me. I have a buddy doing a dedicated between Denver and phoenix that gets him home a few times a week. I think they are trying to get guys to run team on that route now for 1400 bucks a week each but I was making almost that much solo on a good week.
Did you guys go to Rocky Mountain? When I was there it like comedian school with all the joking around.
You might also check out First Fleet. No idea what the pay is like but home every night I think.swaggerjacker Thanks this.
