I just got a letter from Crete, telling me that I've been turned down for employment because of my DAC report. How could this be, when I am in driving school right now and just passed my road test and got my CDL today

DAC is also reporting credit and criminal history. So now they go beyond your driving and go to your past.
I am 42, and got into some serious troubles with the feds when I was 18-21. New hackers consider old hyper to be a grandfather now. Anyway, DAC reported it, even though I completed my time and probation over 15 yrs ago. So much for being a secret either, the DAC report is copied and shown to the entire office like a freaking joke. Nice. -
The problem with removing ANYTHING from your DAC is, if you DISPUTE the information, USIS has 30 days to contact the source of the information and verify "THEIR SIDE". All the source has to do is say "Yep, that's true", and even if the information is a LIE, it is next to impossible to get it off.

Last time I pulled my DAC it only had information going back 7 years, they (USIS) told me they don't report information older than that.Baack Thanks this.

That is the case for minor offenses. Anything major, and I believe anything federal, might be on there for life. I understand that.
Unless companies are going outside of DAC for futher info.
