    Aglaw, I'm not sure of the actual tare weight, but I know the combo wieghs 40,700 empty...I figure 18 on the tractor, so roughly 22 on the trailer, and some of the Landolls aren't that heavy, mines nearly all steel, only the top deck and about 10 feet of the bottom deck have wood floors, the rest is all steel, and the tri axle set up rides in it's own carrige on tracks made into the main beams of the trailer

    aeastman, your thing says your in Austin, are you still there? I live in Round Rock and I'm wanting to hire on with a company that drives trucks like yours...I've never been in a 379, just Freightliner Centrys. I was thinking/hoping that maybe one evening your not too busy and able you might let me come take a look at your truck. I mostly would like to get a feel for how theyre set up inside and how the dash and gauges are configured. I dont have enough posts here to PM, if you dont mind leting me check her out. Thanks.

    I'm in Austin, I don't think we're hiring right now, but your welcome to come by sometime and look her over.........
    if you were to start here, you have to start in a small truck and work your way up. none of the trucks in the fleet are as nice as mine, I got lucky and got a cadillac( hard work pays off sometimes) email me and we can talk more..

    Oh I appologize, I wasnt implying that I wanted to hire on with your company, but I have one in mind that drives similar trucks and flatbeds. Although It would be nice to get to drive a rig like that and stay local! LOL, but I dont have enough experiance yet for most local companies.

    Anyways, I'm not able to PM you and apparently emails arenot allowed as both our posts have been edited. Guess I'll have to find another way to get a hold of you. Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it.

    it does great on the highway, about 6.5 mpg, crappy in city/traffic around 4.3mpg
