    LOL
Look at picture the suv is still chained down to the head rack over the cab of the truck.
I'd say the driver did a pretty good job of chaining that thing down when the truck and the head rack are on its side and the suv is still chained to the deck.

We need to sit back and let this eld stuff run its course, if it becomes a big problem and starts messing with the ecomony they will take notice. Then the best thing to do is start proposing positive changes and reasons why the change will do some good. If they keep being hit with negative remarks they mostly shut you out. We have representaves that are supposed to work for us. Go talk to them and start providing them with good solutions. A eld is just a way to record what you should be doing legal. If you can not make a good wage working 70 hrs a week something is wrong, you are a slave and you are forced away from your family, demand your rights.

Maybe drivers will be paid for all hours, including loading / unloading and waiting time. Elogs should qualify and verify hours.

I should have clarified my post better. My point t is a lot of people think electronic logs are the miracle answer to commercial safety problems and it isn't. It definately will stop those from running, or forced to run day and night. This I more than agree with. What I don't like is being less than an hour from delivery or pickup and running out of time. Did I do it on paper ? Yes. Was it legal, no. Did an extra 30 minutes make me a detriment to others around me ? If I thought it did believe me I stopped. My 1st O.T.R. run was March 1980. Knock on wood no accidents yet. My 2nd complaint is the Trucking Alliance who is made up of 8 mega companies who lobbied Congress to push this and in my opinion why they did. Hope this helps in understanding where I was coming from. One more thing. I totally agree with your point on H.O.S.

Perfect, well put; that's exactly how I ran. You adapted by driving an exempt truck. I adapted by selling out. At 63 I was going to go several more years, but old dogs get set in their ways.

Set in my ways too. This is my retirement,.. I dont have anything else to fall back on. I need some more cash. Maybe buy some rental properties later down the road. But for now this is what I have to do while I am still healthy enough to handle this. That might change in 10 yrs.
