Rand McNally ELD 50 questions

    On the ELD 50 you have to create two log in's for the Portal. One as a User (you) and one as Admin (you) The user is what you use for day to day operations as the "driver".

    DriverConnect - Login

    Where should I download the Rand McNally DriverConnect app?

    To set your Log Time Zone, log into the portal as Admin and set the Fleet Terminal Time Zone to the time zone you want your logs to show.

    To add a 2nd user to your "fleet" log in as Admin and add the 2nd user with an E-Mail, User ID, and Password. This is what your 2nd driver will need to log into their portal. You as Admin can set their permissions.

    This has been basically what has been going on since Saturday if you don't want to read back.

    I am checking on the saving of the logs and for how long..

    Please bear with me. I just got the two links to the manuals at the same time I posted them earlier... so I have to do some reading also..

    did your prior logs correct to the right time zone?

    Yes. They did. I received an e-mail stating my RM support ticket was closed. Then I went to my truck, sync' d the devices and the log was correct.

    Excellent customer service.

    I was hoping RM would work for me. I have had a RM GPS for a few years. When it stopped working, I called the support number and the guy said it was still under manufacturers warranty.

    Printed a pre-paid UPS label and shipped the defective one. A week later I got a refurbished device that works as good as new.

    That would never happen with a Samsung or LG.

    I'll gladly support US based RM.

    I think the ticket was for the back end changing in the system your yard time to EST and for the Fleet side also.

    Mark, Please help.. for the last 3 days my eld50 is freezing up. When it does work it’s great. When I log off to sb and get up it’s frozen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled three days in a row. I have even reset tablet 80 to factory twice.. what else should I do??

    A few questions...

    Is the Tablet an 80 or 80B?
    Did you do the updates from about 4 weeks ago to the tablet? It would be an OS Flash/Software updates. You can tell this by go to the App RM Launcher and seeing if it says Check for Updates or System Updater.

    I need to verify the tablet first since you did the factory reset twice.

    go to the App RM Launcher and seeing if it says Check for Updates or System Updater.

    Rm launcher when I tap on check for updates I get nothing? When I swipe down top of screen it’s showing 3.1 mb update available.
