Usually Craigslist or Facebook groups. Occasionally Truckpaper.com

I was in the market for a truck over the summer. craigslist is littered with polished turds and over priced junk with hidden problems. They put hardwood floors in and use as selling points. Some good stuff pops up in the truck trader catalogs. I wound up finding what I wanted through word of mouth. someone that knows somebody that knows somebody else. It can be a long and tiring process. Even after the fact, expect to spend several thousand to fix neglected things and make your truck nice the way you want it.

Let me guess, one of those guys who calls 2 times a day with offers to help private owners sell there vehicles
Jmltrucker Thanks this. -
Some of the worst junk I have looked at are those from a private owner. Most of the problems I run across was just poorly done repairs without any knowledge of how the truck works or how to properly repair them.

I concur and that is why all my repairs are done at the dealer. I have the paperwork. Of course I'm not selling but if everyone did that it sure would make it easier.
