ELDs and Holiday Add to Capacity Pressures
Soo many trucks now no longer are going to be able to lie, run two log books and etc.
More trucks on elogs = less truck capacity!
Now more than ever... SAY NO TO CHEAP FREIGHT!!!
Load truck ratio just broke all records, highest level ever recorded by DAT on elog mandate week!!!

You misunderstand my post, i expected this, my post means im waiting for those that will come crying about elogs and how bad this is -
For those of us that run legal the elog mandate is the best thing ever for rates and freight availability.
While the elog itself might suck sure but no longer do legal drivers have to complete with someone on paper making stuff up as they go along (unless they are excluded from the mandate).Opus, bzinger, Tb0n3 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh cool I get to make the same money running less hours! Oh no wait everything I buy costs more now!
SuperDan Trucking and Sublime Thank this. -
The mega-carriers are super happy about this, they can still pay peanuts to their company drivers and pay their lease operators the same low mileage rate, and the carrier makes a lot more!
On a side note, let’s all take a deep breath and give this a few months to see what the real affects are going to be. Still way to early.SuperDan Trucking, AlexD13, jammer910Z and 3 others Thank this. -
It's pretty obvious...
You can't do on elogs what you can do on paper, trucks are more limited in what they can pull off.
That's a fact, no wait and see needed.Broke Down 69, Western flyer, SuperDan Trucking and 1 other person Thank this. -
For the time being, it may be promising. The trucks, the used ones, are cheap too So the rates may attract newcomers, and the capacity may be saturated.
whoopNride and bzinger Thank this.
