When I was getting instruction for driving at CR England. We were told that 75% of trucking accidents happen at night because of low visibility. Drivers are encouraged to drive primarily during the day. It is the drivers choice to drive at night. If we the driver cant see something at night that we could see during the daytime, it will always be the CDL driver at fault for driving at night. No excuses.
Yes you might be lucky and avoid accidents for now while driving at night. Yet some day that luck wont be there. Personally I will chose to drive only in the early morning hours if to deliver a load. Otherwise it is daytime only for me. Granted if I get this job driving a snow plow this winter. It will be a different story. Yet at 20 mph, the damage done will be far less than that of free way speeds.chalupa Thanks this. -

I saw this on my way to work this morning. I wondered what caused the accident.
