Yes and it is best not to push to find out. This has turned into a crazy world and if you do not protect yourself, who is gonna do it?

I've only ever had issues once with someone attempting to siphon fuel, but I was on them before they got the cap unscrewed. As far as weapons, there are more qualified folks to tell you about that, I usually just kept my flashlight taser handy in seedy areas, otherwise my tire thumper was a sufficient deterrent. Just remember, your wallet isn't worth your life.

You can pretty much toss concealed weapons for the time being. Theres very few employers who rely on weaponry around big trucks for security purposes. Im pretty sure there are a number of drivers who carry (I would...) but until we have a proper National Carry without certain infringing that they are trying to hide in the current effort... we will not see very much concealed. There are threads in TTR about Concealed Carry and trucking.

For what it's worth I had a Buck Special in it's holster open carry all over, particularly NYC. No one cared. It's a part of trucking for breaking pallet metal bands and such in those days. Thinking back into those innocent (Yea right....) days long before there was a 9-11 and so forth with a knife like that... it was a different time. Also it probably would have had some blood on it if there was a strike that was successful too. Never mind the prosecution and so forth that would have happened.

There isnt too many slugs in trucking. You roll to make money, if you are not rolling you are essentially fired usually through being late and so on. It's really hard to be a slug and stay in a company truck. Oh wait...

I LOVE the game. That being said, I wonder if these guys even looked at a map before they built the game map. Not at all realistic in any sense, except it works to get an idea about turning corners in tight areas, and paying around with different backing scenarios.

I don't think there would be any specific advantage coming in to trucking having played the game other then the idea that if you want the trailer to turn left, you turn the wheel right, aim it up and then "follow" the trailer to where you want to go. Spend a lot of time in the cab view and use your mirrors. You don't get the advantage of changing camera views in the real world. That would sure be nice.

that would be awesome as a joke for someone to email in a resume to a local hauler saying you have 5 years otr experience and put truck simulator game in the prior jobs section. I have to admit though, Ive been tossing around the idea to buy the game just to mess around with it for an hour. I would just trive around causing mahor highway carnage and attempting the most ridiculous accidents ever. After an hour, I would get bored as hell I'm sure

My guilty pleasure was getting a big rig in GTA, and causing mayhem down the freeways. And ironically, the game wasnt half bad about the physics, or so I felt when I would try parking the rigs.
