You nailed it, this will rid the world of elogs once and for all.
Drivers parked at a dock for hours and hours laying on their bed playing Farkle while waiting for the receiver to call them and logging sleeper berth on their elogs while all the drivers beside them on paper logs are logging Line 4 On Duty.

Who knew the paper loggers were logging all those hours on duty?

Nothing illegal about logging time the truck is in the dock as sleeper berth time. Goes for both paper and elogs.

I know that, but Pedigree thinks only eloggers do that and that it's really cheating,

Here's a quote from a driver that spent about 14 hours at 3 different customers getting unloaded, now he thinks he should have fresh hours to drive since he sat around so much, this why we need elogs on everything,

"I just slept nicely for 4 hours while being unloaded (common in reefer world). How and why does it count against my HOS???I have 2 more stops ffs!!!
Oh and once I finish my 14 h I will be well rested but will have to sit for 10 h.And no I won't sleep,I just did. This is ####ing insane!!!"

I am out here to earn a living, not play games. I am an adult, I know when I am tired and I know how to safely maneuver my 70 foot long rig down the road, and have been for just about 30 years without incidents and few if any issues. You ELD junkies do your thing, I have mine too, whine about us old timers doing our jobs, delivering the freight and doing it safely. That is what we do. I would trust myself and thousands of other O/Ops out here over folks like you. Anal folks like yourself, sweating about what I am doing is not a service to the motoring public. You are more interested in me and how I operate, like you will be cheated out of something you never earned. You do not have the skills or nohow to do what many of us do out here, legally, with yes, a bit of fudging. We are adults, stuff happens, and we make due. Ours is a simple job, deliver freight in a safe and timely manner, and that is what we do, despite the Government regulations.

The term "Professional Driver" has now been thrown out the window. Now we have infants, in need of a wet nurse. Sorry bub, no wet nurse required here. ;-)

Dont mistake me. just because I'm not railing against elogs doesn't mean i like them. I've just adapted my driving habits and the loads i take to make them work.

I look forward to when some common sense is put back into hos, and have personally believed that would only happen after the vast majority of us were on elogs.

We also have to understand its 2017. Even if you stop the United States Government from implementing elds, the world will continue to advance its technology. In 10 20 50 100 years, the eld will be nothing compared to what could or will be headed our way in the future. Adapt, improvise and over come.

Fyi. I do not have an eld. Local and on time card. If I ever did need to go otr again (fat chance in frozen hell) I will run whatever log paper or elctronic I need too.

For your information again. I do not care if you own your truck. You are not the only business in the world that owns your own equipment and has to now adhere to electronic government regulations.

Ill argue about electronic devices that log me, but when it benefits me, I'll go on the internet and ##### about the advancement of technology. Lmao!

As long as you are willing to break hos to deliver a load you are truckings equivalent of billy bob cash only no insurance no bond handyman masquerading as a fully licensed bobbed and insured electrician.

And ive been out here running my own trucks just as long, if not longer, than 99% of the industry.
