Volvo vs Freightliner. Buying Truck. Please Help.

    For new engines my .02 never isx. My money is on the Detroit's and the paccar mx13.
    If glider is the way you go. Series 60 12.7, N14, C15 or C13. In that order.

    Yeap..I say glider before anything..After that a detroit from 14 and up..

    Ill take a Freightliner over a Volvo any day. I drove a 2010 Freightliner Cascadia daycab with the DD15 500HP and 13 speed manual. The DD15 was gutless our KWs with Cummins rated at 475 would out pull them on a hill loaded any day. As for the Volvo. I now drive a 2013 model VNR300 with a D13 425 HP and a 10 speed. Its even more gutless, and in the shop constantly with electrical and EGR issues. We had less issues with the Freightliner.
