Let me preface my comment with some info.....I have been a paramedic for 20+ years and have been to alot of accidents where trucks were involved. It has been my experience that most of the time the reason for the wrecks has nothing to do with the company or the training. Most of the time it has been the driver who has gotten tired, drove too many hours, paying attention to what is in the car next to him/her, cell phone texting, hands on everything except the steering wheel(multiple implications of this),following to close/speed, and medication overdose(found one driver sitting in the middle of the road in his driver's seat, staring into space-not moving because he had taken a bunch of insulin a couple of hours before to offset all the caffeine and candy he was eating so that he would have more energy-not a diabetic either!). Another thing....are we worrying about companies that if were all bad(some exceptions)-would they not be closed down due to competition....bottom line not everyone can be pleased. Now I had a hip replaced so I retired from EMS(let me get posts from other EMT's former) and have decided on trucking.....so please get these problems solved before I go on the road....make trucking perfect-just kidding!!
GOD BLESS US ALL...STAY SAFE!
Maybe Swift is bad because of their DRIVERS

It's just we all want people to give us the benefit of the doubt but then rip everyone else for a mistake. To quote a famous resident of Loas Angeles, "Can't we all just get along?" Why do we have to put others down or make fun of them. Why not find ways to encourage others and help them when it appears they need it? And then not tell stories about it later. -
I never worked with swift But my boy been there 9 months now after getting his training with them and is not doing bad for a new guy he is avg'n decent bring home pay /
Far as there drivers Id vote prime drivers are hell of alot worse then swift but to each there own -
Was his trainer in the bunk asleep when he was doing this? Or wide awake encouraging him to do it, since that is what he would have done when he was a trainee about 6 months ago! I could give you stories about Swift drivers doing all kinds of stuff like that, you know like the one about the Swift driver who missed the exit on the NY Thruway, so he decided to make a U turn on the shoulder and drive across the highway to the otherside, but instead put it nose first into a pond. BTW, that was the very explanation that he gave the cop. I was there and saw it happen and was a witness to this and heard him tell the police officer that there was "just not quite enough room on the shoulder to get it turned around" O how about the guy in Southern Illinois that decided that he was gonna make a U-Turn on some country road that was barely wide enough for 2 lanes, oh he did it--took 6 hours to get him turned around with 2 tow trucks--estimated tow bill by the company $4700--I knew the guy that owned the tow service and he told me himself personally. Priceless stories like that! Oh the joy of Swifties! -

The Trucker's Report could have saved them a lot of money. We don't need a jury to determine this.
