Deep freeze about to hit

Many cancellations here this morning due to the extrmem cold.This weather doesn't bother my dog tiny tiny,she would stay out all day if I let her.After a half houri bring her in.

 

It is currently 32 degrees in DFW, Weather people are calling for a low of 19 with a chance of freezing precipitation. The media circus on TV has begun, The one good thing about the dropping temps is that it will put a damper on NYE festivities. And hopefully, less drunk drivers on the road tonight.

 

Cold with heat any day !

 

I am much more comfortable in the cold than the heat. It is easy to dress for the cold, but one can only undress so far for the heat before one runs out of anything else to undress.

I'll take the cold with heat. Not fair to be in 100 degree heat with no AC -

 

Heat any day, I can always jump in the pool when I get home.

 

You would think someone that has lived in Iowa all her life would be use to the cold but I doubt I ever will.This is going to be a real long winter.

 

I am not singling you out, but after 40 years in Alaska I find all of this bellyaching about a little cold, from people in general, very amusing. You should hear people gripe about the weather here in the PNW, seriously, they have no clue what real weather is about, they are clearly very accustomed, spoiled in fact, by how mild the weather is. People in the upper mid west I give a little more credit to, it does get actual cold temps for more than 1 or 2 consecutive days there.
