Thanks for the replies ... still debating.
I was in a Mack yesterday and liked it (2014 CHU613). Nice ride, the MP8 did quite well, and the construction seemed to be stout and mindful of funtional longevity, etc. ... like older Macks were.
It wasn't an aero but it got me thinking about the CXU613 which is an aero.
Do any of you have any experience in one?
Some dislike the MP8 but, like all EPA motors, with routine preventative maintenance (such as higher frequency oil changes, and sensor and EGR cleanings) they can give excellent service, good power and good mpg. -
Got a new Pete 389 this year. It had to have been a Friday truck. I am constantly finding issues with it. I am really disappointed with the build quality of it. The new 579's are even worse. Drove one with less than 2,000 miles and counted 5 different squeaks coming from the dash and you can't tighten anything to fix it. It is all push in plastic connectors.
I actually like the Pete 386 for the quality. Never had any troubles with it other than the ones that we created our selfs.
