We are paid bi-weekly, the average would vary between 1800 - 2200 after tax. That's for an average 10-12 hour day, 60 hour week.

I put in an app for the Roswell and Carlsbad locations. Kind of looking at choosing between these guys, First Fleet-Kroger in ABQ, and FedEx out of Flagstaff among others. I'm still working and "surviving" right now with a milk hauler doing various things. But I always thought the pay would be more $1500-$2000/weekly as opposed to bi-weekly for hauling crude.
I made about $1100-$1300/week the first year where I'm at loading one dairy a night up in Perryton and then driving back to Clovis.
Now with this reveal, it looks like the LTL and a possible move are back on the table. -
In some areas of Texas, Sunoco drivers make more. Remember it's a combination of miles/barrels. This part of the Permian, Delaware basin is very busy, and most producers are rushing to connect to a pipeline. ALL companies will try to low ball, it's in their nature.

Perhaps I should take into account that some of the testimonials I heard about this position in particular were "straight 12 hour shifts". Start at 4,5, or 6pm, end at 4,5, or 6am.
12 hour shifts seem like a lot of work to some people. But after getting my rear handed to me with these irregular, staggered, 14-16 hour nights on the milk side of things, a set 12 hour shift would feel more like an 8 to me!! I'll definitely stay posted on this whenever I get a call-back. -
Heard the roads were really really bad in Carlsbad good luck
-
Not sure about Carlsbad roads, but those lease roads and county roads in and around Pecos suck. I wonder what the local / state officils are doing with the money? Certainly no infrastructure work that I see.
-
You don' always work 12, it could be 19, 11, or 12. Nothing is set it stone, but they(Sunoco)likes a 10 hour minimum.

The torture just doesn't seem to end. Might as well declare bankruptcy if I want to take on a lower stress, lower hour gig. My health is going in the dumps if these crazy hours stay up.

Probably not any worse than these Farm-to-Market roads or dirt roads I typically use to get out to dairies. It sounds like bombs going off all around you and your head getting repeatedly smacked around if you dare drive over .000010 mph!!
In a way, the dairy barn loading and oil field hauling are beginning to seem quite similar in regards to work environment. Dealing with lots of mud and guck, dealing with biohazards of both the chemical and biological variety, and of course the type of equipment being driven out there all seem to be built on the chassis of a WW2 or Korean War era main battle tank.
