Sheeit... only a foot you say. Boston will be #### near 2 feet by morning, Maine is looking at three plus. La Guardia is shut. NY is kicking people out. State of emergency and all that. AMTRAK per course is shutting down train traffic on their corridor.

You don't know what's possible in a proper Noreaster. The last one we had back in 93 created 60 FEET of snow that absolutely SHUT everything down a minimum of ONE MONTH in many towns...

You can keep your tomorrow, wait until the back side kicks you with -20+ below zero.

Arkansas is already prepping for a ice event sat night into sun am. We expect about 4 to 6 hours of sleet and freezing rain at the bottom of the precious arctic air sweeping in behind this storm.

As far as your take on reality tv, you need some respect. Those people go out there to show where the weather is and conditions by the sea has gone downhill right quick. If THEY are not going out to sea to do fishing etc, YOU should stay home too.

I think the guy splitting at 9am was the right plan. But I would have voted for all major highways, get to rt90 as quick as possible. it was still pretty minor at 10am this morning.

Of course sticking it out you then have to clear your equipment and deal with the negative temperatures this weekend.

I shut our company down for the storm and the weekend. I called fleetpride on weds to get a case of winter additive... SOLD OUT. I live/work around boston so I'll just hunker down and play with legos with the kids, but if I was an out-of-towner I'd have skee-daddled.

yeah I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna feel like summer. I remember in October the first cool days in the 40s my guys where all shivering like it was the north pole. Now when it's 14 degrees out we're all wandering around like it's spring.

Hell, a body usually gets used to the cold. Ive unloaded in cold storages in the trailer at -20 in a tee shirt and cutoff jeans... not a pretty sight, but when you are hydrated, fed and working that freight it's no problem.

Now Im crying from the cold (Partly from the cold here...) and not used to it. It's going to be colder. Pipes have been breaking in our building. But not in my unit due to gallons of water wasted per hour for the last 5 days and planned until Monday next before we get back to normal 35 winter.

My truck is currently in the shop where the battery can at least charge and feed for a few days while being warm with work being done to the #### thing. This will be the third battery in the second winter so far. The cold is killing them. (One deep cycle Gel based battery, and two interstate wetcells so far...) I already am planning a 4th in the spring. It's disgusting how the cold is killing them.
