I'm looking at buying my first truck and contracting out to another company.
I'll be taking advantage of their comdata card, dot#s, trailer and whatever else they offer. Obviously starting out this way I'll have to come up with less$$ which is whole idea.
Is there anything I need to look out for??
O/O Contracting out to company??

Yeah everything. Just because you want to start cheap doesn't mean that it is cheaper to go that route.
You still need operating capital to run the truck, capital to buy the truck and fix it when there are problems.
I would look at their contract and fees, and see where there is something competitive with other companies to maximize your net at the end of the year.NightWind Thanks this. -
Ok Great, so what are some of the things you look for when deciding?

Their contract, the fees and compare them to others.
Be sure you have at least 4 to 6 months of operating expenses saved up plus a maintenance fund to fix the truck when it craps out. -
Perfect thx
