Saia City driver info for DFW??

ODFL, and Fed Ex freight are about the best non union LTL companies. Saia, Southeastern, and Central freight are the lower paying ones in the LTL world.

It's sad the direction WMT Is going. But it's all abt saving money right?

 

They just going to get Mega carriers to do all the work for pennies

 

I have a friend who works at Saia, he put his bluetooth in his left ear and cranks up Spanish radio to get around the ridiculous no cell phone/driver facing camera policy.

 

They can still see you talking.

I've heard of guys getting written up/suspended because they looked like they were talking even though there was no Bluetooth or phone visible. The assu.ption is the they are trying to skirt the rules somehow. One guy even got in trouble because he was listening to a podcast on the stereo and it sounded like a conversation so they thought he was on the phone.

It's a shame that the Saia safety department has turned I to a Gestapo-like organisation suspending and firing people for doing things that are completely legal under DOT regs.

 

I withdrew my applications from them. All that isn't worth whatever they are paying

 

Saia is not a low paying ltl. I have a good friend who works for them, they are up there with OD. Maybe higher if you consider benefits and hourly.

 

I'd rather be able to talk on the phone lol
