An economic market, whether its legit or not, is fueled by supply and demand. These women are selling themselves because they're responding to the market demand for easy sex. Men are drawn to these women because their bodies are producing testosterone that compels them to seek out sexual release. If men were to modify and lower their body's hormone production, it would decrease their need for sexual release. With all the debate and police efforts to curtail prostitution, why doesn't anybody go after the demand side of the economic equation. I don't mean prosecuting johns, I mean offering products on the market to decrease mens' testosterone production. It seems these drugs (for example, Depo Provera) are only available to convicted serial rapist and child molesters, and must be administered under court order. When I was in my late 20s, working OTR, I had this problem of wanting to spend my $$ on these ladies, simply because they were there. I knew I was risking STD (AIDs had not yet been diagnosed in the USA), so I went to ask my doctor, is there any drug I can take to control my urges. And he tells me its only available to convicted rapist and child molesters. Men can't help themselves, they must have sex, and these women know it. Take away the market demand for sex, and the supply will disappear. These women will find some other way (hopefully legit) to generate $$.

I see the point your trying to make but I doubt that anybody participating in that game will be looking for such a pill. I see that your thinking outside of the box, and thats great but im not sure if that aproach would be the best one, but then again anything is possible

Well, a desperate guy could just take "Palm-ela" out...
Yeah, I know it sounds nasty, but not as nasty as letting a LL into your truck, let alone touching her... -
Depo Prevera is also a cancer drug and on the long list of exclusionary drugs for most health/life insurances as are many drugs that kill the sex drive. The insurance companies don't care why you are on it. If you take it you are out.

Do you think it will ever go away? Come-on lets be real. It's not the most glorifing aspect in the trucking community, accually it's down right embarrasing and we all know why. If enough truckers say no they'll stop coming around. We don't they won't - git-it.

You may find it easy to resist an LL because they violate your moral standards, but I good number of other men (like myself) don't see anything wrong with trading $$ for sex. History (ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, etc...) had tolerated and accepted prostitutes as viable members of society. The problem here is the American psyche; we've been influenced by the religious right-wing to believe these women are in league with Satan. If there were enough decent paying jobs, affordable housing where you can get a decent apartment on minimum wage without having to take on 2 (or more) room mates to share the rent, then these ladies would not be selling themselves.
When I did business with them in the 80s, most were single moms trying to earn extra $$ to subsidize their minimum wage job. Sadly, the women now are mostly drug addicts, selling themselves to support a drug habit. When these ladies warm up to you and you show them some respect in spite of what they do for a living, they'll open up and share their lives with you, giving detail account of how they grew up. Every prostitute I've slept with had given me the same story, they were raped by a father, step father, uncle, or her brothers took turns on her.
The rapes and child molestation starts around 8 or 9. A trusted family member would begin feeling their privates when they're young, but between 10 and 12, it progresses to actual sex, and threatening something terrible will happen if she tells anyone. Between 14 to 17 years of age, she decides she can make $$ selling herself, instead of giving it away for free, so she decides to run away from home. She meets up with other teen age girls with the same story, or she's recruited by a pimp who gives her an apartment, clothes, a little money, so long as she brings in at least $300 to $500 a night.
This is what makes these LL different from other women, they were traumatized at a young age. Any woman you know, your sister, mother, or your own wife, could had ended up like any of these LL had they been raped and molested at a young age. You're quick to condemn, yet too narrow minded to question why these women behave so differently; why are their moral values different from most women. Any child who doesn't get proper nurturing often grows up to become a criminal element of society. Research the data on the typical prison inmate, and survey of inmates reveal most either grew up in a single parent household, or dad was often drunk and starts to beat on his wife and kids. Both Hitler and Stalin had physically abusive fathers, and both later grew up to commit atrocities.
The absence of a loving mom & dad in the picture will create a dysfunctional household. Children with dysfunctional family grow up to be dysfunctional themselves. With men, they turn to a life of crime; with women, they prostitute themselves.
If you're too blind to see why these women behave as they do, I can only hope there's such a thing as reincarnation. I hope you come back as a girl in the next life, and a trusted family member rapes you repeatedly, and lets see how you turn out when you grow up to become a woman.

Well guess some of us victims dont fit the mold, there are reasons and results and REASONS dont count...according to my dad. Everyone has a choice, bad choices belong to the person who made them plain and simple. -
I think his point, and the point of many experts, is that these women did not make the choice to be sexualized at a young age. A dirtbag adult made that choice for them.
