I know when I sifted through thousands of trucks and bought my 670, I eliminated all that didn't have the cups having been done yet.

Even when I bought the truck I have now, I was looking at another 670 as well, and it had the cups done already. A bonus is to find one that has had the EGR valve replaced already as well.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

I have tank heaters installed, and a hydronic coolant heater. Keeps the block and fuel warm when the truck is off

Sharky , something else you can do to extend cup life is wiring a manual fan switch to the factory pins on the computer.
Controlling your temp, engaging the fan sooner than stock will reduce the expansion and contraction in the heads.

Yeah I was thinking to do that. Not sure why these trucks don't come with a manual fan switch.

Isn't this a common rail issue? Being the high 70,000 or more psi. And does Mack have this issue because they are same engine??

Old ones a pump deuce style the pressure is made in the injectors like a cat MEUI system...... The brand new ones are common rail and different injectors....

And yes, the Mack is identical engine, only different color paint.
