1.Parking, parking, parking!
2.More of a choice of personal hygeine items for female drivers.
3.A restaurant with a good old-fashioned "Drivers Only" section.
4.2-liter sodas.truckchick Thanks this. -
How about a fresh vegetable or fruit. A shower with a good shower head and two towels. A diesel desk.
truckchick Thanks this. -
Removable shower heads for us short people! I'm talking about those detachable shower setups that have a hose on them.

Lots of good parking with the lines going the RIGHT WAY. Decent food at a decent price. Good showers... and it does not cost $10 for a shower! (I realize the goal is to shower at places for which you have earned FREE ones, of course.) How about a FRIENDLY staff, people who realize they are there for us. We did not come in so they could have jobs. Their whole reason for being there is to take care of those of us who are bringing their groceries, etc. I get so tired of truck stop employees who act like you are an interruption to their day. We all can think of examples.

Interesting that your trying this and good luck with your investment, Charlotee needs a good truck stop. Lots of great suggestions my biggest thing is nice showers and free with out needing too purchase fuel.

I don't mind paying for parking.. so consider a secured pay only parking area up front.. with unsecured free parking in a less expensive gravel area out back.
Just a thought....truckchick Thanks this. -
A section for drivers only to eat...which means we get the best service available.
Free coffee
Plenty of parking in a nice lot...no whole that will swallow up a rig
Smoking section (I don't even smoke)
Area for the drivers to walk their dogs ... preferrably not where I walk
Nice size showers and clean is the key.
Actually it would be nice to have a truckstop cater to us instead of the four wheelers. Why do I think those days are gone?truckchick and mtdewr Thank this. -
Over sized showers with dual shower heads (1 on each wall) for husband wife teams that shower together. Shower heads should be set at 6' 6" high with an optional detachable shower head that slides down to accommodate the shorter drivers. 9 Foot ceilings so tall drivers can stretch their arms up without touching the ceiling. Extra large bath sheet towels.
Hair dryers as well as an oscillating fan in the shower to dispel the steam. No heat lamps in the ceiling of the shower (I hate having my balding head get cooked while trying to shower).
Large enough parking slots to accommodate 80 foot long rigs (car haulers and over sized household mover trucks) 10 foot wide parking slots.
A private movie room (for CDL holders only) with large screen television and new release movies to choose from with over sized extra sturdy movie type chairs with cup holders for drinks.
A large laundry room with at least 6 extra large capacity heavy duty commercial type washers and dryers available for the drivers.
A large computer room with free wi-fi hot spot for drivers to bring their laptops inside and surf the net.
A modern type, full service, state of the art restaurant with large tables, comfortable booths/chairs, and a small electric panel for summoning a waitress. Perhaps a button which would flash a white light to attract the waitresses attention.
A dozen fuel islands with fast flow diesel pumps, long handled brushes and squeegees for cleaning the glass. Water hoses for spraying down the truck and cleaning the windshield.
Movable metal stairs that can be used to help drivers wash windows and windshields.
A fenced, paved, secure lot to keep out the pan handlers, pushers, hookers, and beggars.
A CAT scale on site. A full service 24 hour shop. A 24 hour truck wash.Coonass, truckchick, keb1209 and 2 others Thank this.
