Just make sure to call if weather's slowing you down too much. Nobody at this company is going to yell at you to get it there on time.

All good advice Ray. The TA has the biggest parking lot and you do want to get holed up early. Parking gets filled fast. Check the J first, but you can always walk over to get a shower if there's nothing easy.
Oh, and enjoy the Gorge, it's a spectacular drive.mattbh23, ncmickey, Ray Strack and 1 other person Thank this. -
Should I call my dm and request more time now or wait a little? I know its cutting it close in good conditions. On one side I want to do good and aim yo make it there, but i know when enough people say its tight, to heed warning because its going to be tight.
I currently have 29:32 on my clock. On 1-14 I get 3 back and on 1-15 I get 9 back. That gives me 41.5 hours to work with, or I can have a 34 in by 11pm on 1-12.
I wasnt suppose to be loaded till 1pm on 1-12, but I was here early since they said I could stay and do a 34 if needed, then they called me at 5pm and loaded me early. I imagine 40 hours will be a safe budget for this trip. Not sure what route is the better one. My trainer told me he likes to turn around in mclanes, and then back up into that dead end there and stage there with no problems. -
I feel a bit like a big blue ping pong ball. Picked in Plymouth, WI on 1/6 to Greensboro, reload in Concord to Sturtevant, reload Cedar Grove back to Concord and today I reload in Concord and head for Fond Du Lac. Kinda boring, but I don't mind, easy miles. Have 4992 miles so far not counting the run to Fond Du Lac, 5927 come Monday morning delivery.

Route, stay on the big road this time of year. I-70 to I-25 to I-80 to I-84.
Keep a sharp eye on the weather. Watch out for the winds in WY. And the Blue Mountains and Cabbage Hill (big grade, run in 6th or 7th) by Pendleton, OR. Be checking the state web sites for road conditions and if chain stations are open.sc00ter, Ray Strack and ncmickey Thank this. -
To be honest I would I run 40 to Gallup and go up thru the 4 cornes and go up thru Green River and Price UT this time of year. Make sure you let Didpatch know because you will have to buy your way thru New Mexico at the port. You avoid Wyoming this way

The kid is a rookie stay on the roads up north. Going through the 4 corners is way out of the way and will slow you down way too much. That is bad advice this isn’t a sightseeing tour or a vacation. 80 to 15 to 84 is your best bet.
Ray Strack Thanks this. -

Dispatch squawks about that $25 to run NM. They'd rather you sit in a snowbank for the week in WY I guess.
He's gotta go that way sometime, might as well get used to it and learn the route.
Weather's looking pretty good today, better than the east. -
Going to Fargo for Monday delivery. Im just east of the IN border. Any news on westbound from here. It's treacherous from south of Dayton to IN line with road closed 70 closed just over the OH/IN line due to wreck.
