Company for 12 years ???

Ownership is the way to go. But, that is just me. I have no clue what freight is like out your way, but over here in the Great Lakes region it is quite profitable.

 

They mean if you lived in Ohio, not a problem, you could do it easy. You live in 1 of the 11 western states that lacks freight. Is there freight there? Yes, but they consume more than they produce. In other words, there are more trucks than freight and it drives rates down. I'm not saying it can't be done from Washington, but life would be much easier in the Midwest. The distance between cities out west is just so great that even if you lined up good paying freight, you would have a hard time staying close to home. It's not impossible, people do it everyday, but it' easier in the Ohio Valley.

 

not sure what the LTL linehaul market looks like out there but that’s my suggestion.

 

Also @Dave_in_AZ, he pretty much stays out West.

 

Yea you can make a go of it on the best coast.

But I did almost DIE Thursday in the middle of bum F nowhere ( windstorm ), and me and Casper found ourselves on some seriously icy, slushy, snow up to the doors mountain tops, but yea, it's the only way too fly.
