Try a 60 amp? Loose connection.

Check the + wires are not touching off the chassis and not ground out where the wires go threw any metal.

The 50 amp fuse on the APU feeds power to the black control box that will be in the cab/sleeper somewhere, (usually in a side box or under the bed) Follow that wire which is labeled the "2" wire and make sure its not rubbed through the casing anywhere, DO NOT put a heavier fuse in(good way to potentially start a fire) there is a problem in the circuit somewhere and they use a 50 amp for a reason.
The 50 amp fuse is usually located in the back of the APU box behind and above the alternator. it can be a real pleasure to get to...

I had the same problem pulled the fuse out it was all corroded and burnt looking and inside wasn’t blown Replaced the fuse and apu is running. Looked like the fuse was just old and burnt from the heat in the compartment
