You cannot strike truckers. They have been howling strike decades ago. Aint gonna happen. 1.99 fuel comes to mind. The air raged with strike talk at 2.00 Once someone with the bawls raise it that high somewhere in the USA. And the same wussies meekly paid 6.00 or god knows whatever else years later.
I have always stated in this wonderful country we could send 535 truckers to Congress, house and senate. I actually have some experience in parliamentary procedure etc. required in such political leadership in day to day work in places like that having been part of the mock student assemblies in Maryland State house. If we did sent 535 truckers to form a new government we might get things done. Maybe.
Finally there is always someone too hungry to sit and strike. You will see that person haul .10 cent freight per mile out of spite. Weather or not that load will get there intact would be remain to see.
If you think so badly of these forums filled with uneducated idiots, what does that make you being here with us all? Hmmm? //tease...

I was making 28% working for a W2 as a company driver prior to buying my truck. 25% on a 1099 is a rip off...ought to be at least 35% due to the "employer contributions" to FICA taxes, workers comp, and the fact that you have no unemployment insurance.Last edited: Jan 13, 2018
Oldironfan Thanks this. -
When you can speak as an adult manner with coherent sentences with a non-bigoted tone, then can speak about the problems we all face, but from this one post I concluded you are no one who can speak for anyone one until you drop the attitude.nax and Oldironfan Thank this.

Most of you don't realize that you can be fined for speeding because you are not allowed to travel faster than 50 miles per hour average which amounts to 550 miles per 11 hours. Your ELD reflects your speed. A nasty DOT cop can count your log book blocks and fine you. I know two different drivers who had their speeds averaged, one in Massachusetts and the other was in Connecticut, and were given 7 speeding tickets. One for each day. Both not only lost their CDLs, but they also lost their regular driving licenses and had $3,500 worth of fines.

We logged 50 mph 30 years ago .lol

Its the truth. I had my own logs averaged out in front of me by the Connecticut DOT but I came up clean. I asked the cop what he was doing and he told me that he was checking to see if I was travelling over 50mph average. They take into account toll booths, speed limit changes such as areas of I-95 that go from 55 to 40 in Connecticut for example, entrance and exit ramps, etc.
