Bunk heaters don't vent into the cab, they work more like the heater on your house (if you have a gas heater). Now, if you are having problems with feeling crappy when running it you may have a leak, and that could result in fumes in the truck.
Tolerating cold temperatures without having to idle.

Lepton1 Thanks this.

the combustion air intake and exhaust come threw the floor under the heater. you wont see them inside. you will have to look under the bunk under the heater.

Heater at 35. Idle at 20.
Anything under 20 was cross your fingers for heater to work and truck starts up. Depending on where fueled up.
Had road call one time at 15 degrees. Fuel pump relay. Heater worked but after 10 hours. Heater quit and truck no go.
I can't stand being bundled up.Last edited: Jan 15, 2018

20f or lower and I will idle. I don't have a bunk heater. I have a huge O degree sleeping bag.

I have bunker heater. I will idle 1 hour and stop for 5 hour. then again idle if outside is 15f or less. just want to have batteries charged and engine warm.
