I'd be guessing I know which ossifer that was too. A female, right? From what I've seen in there, even the other DOT folks can't stand her.
Of course I haven't been in there for several years. She probably doesn't even work there anymore.

Back in about 1980-1981 I was pulling an external ribbed dump trailer which had become covered with snow and ice. Got stopped and ticketed at the Knoxville ,Tn scales. The officer wouldn't allow me to clean the ice off the trailer or anything. He was a complete jerk about it. Cost me over $400. He gave me the choice of either paying the fine immediately or going to jail. Insisting on cash only.... Ended up accepting a Com- check.

You konw if you would of paid cash that ticket would of disapeared as well as the cash. Barney Fife would of had a 400 dollar bonus that week.

Many years ago when I was #2 on that undercover operation we used to carry a heave maul & beat the snow & ice off the equipment

Naw, this was a roly-poly guy with a north-eastern accent. Maybe New York.

hauling in the woods it's snow in the winter mud in summer can't do much with the truck but mudflaps just in front of the legs on the trailer make a big difference
