The rate sheet always has the correct city on it. I book 10-20 loads per week with TQL for my trucks and the rate sheet and carrier instructions are always the same city. This guy obviously didnt ask for zip codes before he booked the load.

Not sure why it would make a difference considering the issue lies in different cities on the 2nd sheet differing from what was signed and agreed to on the rate sheet. At that point is the rate sheet (contract) null and void? In my mind it is..

There is a lot of same named cities in different states.
Maybe someone saw the city and ASSUMED what state it was.Oldironfan Thanks this. -

So you ask for zip codes on every load you book???
I was tryiing to book a load in Midland, Texas.....I could give a crap about the zip code. But they were trying to send me to another city 189 miles away to pick up the load and they were not willing to adjust the rate accordingly. As far as I'm concerned they take a pretty good portion of money to get the basics (origin and destination) right....zip code or not. I have worked with multiple other brokers and never had a problem with origin and destination, nor asked for zip codes.
What good is the origin and destination listed on load boards then? They should be posting zip code to zip code....you obviously book quite a few loads with TQL, so you understand the method to their madness....good for you, they seem top notch and their reviews and reputation supports it.....
Either way, there are way too many great brokers and even more loads to waste my time with this company.Last edited: Jan 18, 2018

Now if this would have been a TQL load you can bet that the driver just ran that shipment for FREE! And he will be getting a claim from his insurance company by TQL. Why? Because they will not think twice about keeping the customer satisfied by blaiming the trucker and keeping the money.

The task number one with TQL is to ask where specifically the pick up/delivery is. If the driver info sheet has it different by more than ...50 miles then refusing the load should be natural. I did it once out of 4 times that I hauled for them in 2017. They also said that they would mark me as a fall out ... a person with a teenager voice did in a very condescending manner. That was over a commodity issue...some garbage that could have compromised my new food grade trailer. I spoke with his manager and we explained and resolved that peacefully. Other than that I did not have problems whatsoever. As a matter of fact, with the other 4 encounters, they were professional and courteous too. What's more important, they paid on time as agreed. Still, things I read here on TR are giving me a negative bias against them and I am extra careful before calling them. For whatever reasons, there are not that many complaints on CHR or Coyotes - my favorite animals (why do they call themselves Coyotes? maybe they are coyotes turning into humans like werewolves do. lol)
