I buy all my fuel local at a good price and never go to a corporate chain truck stop.
But lately when I ask if they have extra Comchek or EFS checks the cashier's are like clueless of where they are or what they are.
Anyone here still pay for fuel using a paper Comchek or EFS check?
Comchek, EFS checks. Do drivers still use them?

Yepper.
I don't think many use mom and pops though. And I'm guessing most mom and pops aren't set up.
Not around these parts anyways.Last edited: Jan 19, 2018

Not for fuel, but I use them to get cash. Never tried doing it at a mom and pop/local place, only the chains.

That really seriously took me back, we used those #### things back in the day. Then learned not to use them when possible. Tolls, Lumpers etc. ugh. I remember cursing the need to have cash money in the hundreds of dollars each week off those things for all that because if the reciepts are not turned in properly accounted for, guess what. Paycheck is 0.00 or negative into my pocket.easytopleez33, NavigatorWife and 6wheeler Thank this. -
I have an EFS card that I get cash advances through for US money.

yes, every time I get any repair or tire repair on the road. Loves does it very conveniently. You go to the shop and get your repair done. Then you walk to the fuel desk and give them the EFS money code and fill out the check. They call it in to EFS. Then you walk back to the shop with your receipt. And then you drive away. /sarcasm
