JThinking about going to a local place. Its a PTI out of jefferson city mo. They have a couple of pretty good dedicated jobs. One is 5 days out with weekends off, and other is 4 out and 4 off. I really like the 4/4 thing. i want and need to be home more. Im dedicated now somewhere else and have one day off every week. It was SUPPOSED to be 2 a week,...but they are always short. I took one to start( needed money i was newbie)....when i asked for my other..."sorry, our manager stopped that". ########,...those who had it kept it. Anyways,...any info on PTI (yes its the paper hauler) would be helpful. Anybody know if they're autoshifts? I hated them at first,...but got used to the newer ones and love them.

So you are talking about Paper Transport Inc., right? I was interseted in them a few years ago, but ended up choosing my current company instead because it was home daily. PTI seemed decent though, home weekends, decent pay, various dedicated accounts. I am not sure about the auto shift, but I’m sure their newer ones are just like everywhere else it seems. They also have a bunch of cng trucks. I imagine that 4/4 schedule you mentioned would involve slip seating, if you have an issue with that.
I met a dedicated guy in my area a few weeks ago who only works nine hours a day, driving back and forth between two cities, and still makes about what i make. He was happy with it.
I will have to follow this thread as i have always been curious about them.Need4Speed Thanks this. -
