March 23, 2018 will be my third year with my starting company. They've treated me well so far and I don't see that changing anytime soon. And unless I start getting interested in hauling liquids, there isn't another local company that runs nice Peterbilt equipment for me to move to.
I'm out 5-6 days at a time and home on "weekends" (the good trips usually leave Saturday or Sunday). I get 10 cpm premium for each mile past 5000 per bi-weekly period and since I've been a yes man forever, should always be on the list of "who do we have who can get this big run done?" I'm always willing to try going somewhere new, I thrive on adventure.
Job hopping...let my experience be an example

My guess is those sign-on bonuses. People frustrated with their current pay situation see bigger cpm and $3,000-5,000 in cash for signing up and hop on it regardless of anything else.born&raisedintheusa Thanks this. -
To you guys in PA Saia just opened a terminal in Allentown and Scranton will open later this year, check into them. LTL linehual or city work. Starts at .55 cpm for LH

Perhaps you could "shoot" for middle to upper management positions within the company that you drive for. Dollars to donuts, those management positions will probably net you some very HEFTY paychecks.
God bless you and your entire family!

The only ones who generally care about job-hopping are the big LTL companies and the Wal-Marts of the world. The ones that can be picky on who they hire because everyone generally wants to work there.
I’m not “sticking it out” if a job sucks or I get a better deal someplace else. Loyalty is a thing of the past these days, especially in this industry. I’ve yet to work for a single company that gives a flying F about anything but $$. They don’t care about you, your family, nothing but their bottom line so I only care about my bottom line as well. So give me what I want or I’ll find someone else who will, or at least get an A for effort.
I’ve been hopping jobs for 9 years and still find decent jobs. It’s trucking, quite common to find people that’ve had 15 jobs in 20 years...All4Safety, 207nomad, Toomanybikes and 2 others Thank this.
