Loss of power take off

Try a lower gear maybe? I dont know.

 

So it didn't do this until after you had clutch adjusted?
I know, not right away; but soon after.
Have the same mechanic or someone familiar with this equipment - re-look the adjustment.

 

I wonder if it could be something like a cam sensor that is going bad. Probably not if it doesn't do it in reverse.
The reason I wonder is because I had a 95 Powerstroke (manual) that would do just as you describe.

 

I'm thinking it is adjusted too tight and doesn't get any "give" or slippage to get it moving.
That's if you hear the motor not faltering, or stumbling, like it's an engine issue.
Clutches except the ceramic puck ones all slip a little by design, to facilitate getting moving.
Put the ceramic 3 puck one in a C-70 Rollback I had and it put your head thru the back window.
It was either on of off, with no in-between. A real joy to drive. Scared the old ladies.

 

What help; we were all wrong!!!
It is very difficult to do brain surgery in a moving truck, over the phone, with a dull fork.

 

Least you had a full fork. I was only working with a spork.
