Right tennman.....works out to .008 cents per roll on a 500 mile shipment @ $2 vs. $1.50. We'll be selling apples in the street in no time at all.

Do you really think the corporations are going to just raise it .008 cents a roll?
I know the math is miniscule however most don't and these greedy corporations will use any excuse to raise prices.
But I'm sure that load that paid 1.80 per mile in November that now pays 4.25 a mile I suppose you think the broker is coming out of pocket for the difference. Or maybe the shipper, producer or consignee. But there's no way they'll pass along that cost to the consumer. If you believe that I don't know what to say. Is it a huge cost actually no but you can bet they will raise the prices to cover themselves for the next couple months in case rates continue to rise.
How is it that some people never understand that the end user always foots the bill.tony97905 Thanks this. -

Have you bought a Hershey bar lately? -
If profits were designed to cover expenditure increases the rich would get poorer. When's the last time that happened.tony97905 and SingingWolf Thank this. -

Show me where I said they wouldn't go up. You can't. What I implied was that it was silly and ignorant to believe that prices will, "skyrocket".
So, nevermind. I'm done with this subject. That said, if prices on Bounty do indeed "skyrocket" I will admit my err, apologize, admit that you're da man, and dance at your wedding. Perhaps all on the same day. -
When season comes and produce goes bad sitting on docks waiting for a truck that'll spice up the market.
They'll all be screaming driver shortage and all the trucking companies paying slave wages will say they can't get drivers.FullMetalJacket and Speed_Drums Thank this.
