Reason I asked because last report on tripcheck was 10:20pm and it hasnt snowed since an hour or two after that report and I am driving for a company that has a no chaining policy

According to web site at 04:15 local, Meacham area requires chains on commercial vehicles. I didn't check closely any other segments of I-84 but it looked as if Meachem segment was only one with the lights flashing. Cabbage Hill was currently open with no restrictions.
I suspect they will lift Meachem restrictions later this morning but if they do, you better haul butt before the next wave of precip arrives. -
BTW, if a company has a "no chaining policy", WTH are they doing running freight across OR I-84 and the PacNW in the middle of winter?
I wonder if they told the shipper or broker that the chances of them getting the load there 1-2 days late is "high and probable" before they took the load.
