If the customer doesn't want to listen to your concerns regarding hos then decline to haul for them. Easy. There are plenty that are listening. Or keep doing it and keep complaining. Plenty of drivers do that their entire career.

Most brokers detention doesn't start until 3 hrs . If you present a contract to a broker , or shipper any less than that , you will not get the load .
-
That 3 hours before detention is a lie. Don't buy into that. It has always been 2 hours. Which is also total bull #### IMO but these leaches trying to steal an hour of your time on this 3 hours lie plus 50% or more of every hour after ticks me off.

And as you are finding out that now you have to follow the law, sometimes letting that load go is the wiser option....magoo68, AZ Pete and rollin coal Thank this.

Mr @freight-time, if you were born and raised in Omaha Nebraska and drove truck in Nebraska for 20 years, and then took your first load in your life east, a load to ManhattanNY, would your plan be to run the northeast the same way you've always ran Nebraska or would you want to learn how the truckers in New York run the City?
When would you try to learn about New York...as soon as you book the load or as you approach the GW bridge? When you stopped, facing a 9ft overpass on a parkway, do you post about "1 MAN ARMY vs NYC?" You mean the army went to war without finding out what the objective is? Do you think General Custer would have changed his travel plans if he knew Custer's Last Stand would be at Little Bighorn?blairandgretchen and freight-time Thank this. -
I really appreciate your in-site . It really makes a lot of sense .
