so I started my 34 at 6pm fri night. Get up Sat morning and go to Wally World for my meds. Switched it to PC time from truckstop (2miles away) to WW. Come out, get in truck, got back to TA and noticed that my ELD had switched over to drive time for the 3 min it took me to get back to the TA, slicing my 34 in two. Company robots wont be in until Monday..... am I screwed? or can they reset the 3 min?

I cannot speak to your company's policy for dealing with situations like this. I can share with you that I had a similar occurrence once, and my company's regulatory department was willing to edit it for me. I had used PC to go from our terminal to a location for personal business, but when I returned to our terminal I forgot to select PC so it put me on the drive line and interrupted my break. I had to wait until the next day, but when I called and explained what happened they were able to see that I was telling the truth based on my locations etc. Additionally, we are required by company policy to send a particular macro prior to the initiation of the first leg of the PC trip. Thankfully, I had sent the required macro. While a driver cannot edit drive time, in certain instances the safety or regulatory department may be able to.

No one to call after hours?
The office can reassign those miles to PC even on an ELD, but if no one is available to do it.....
What is company policy on PC?
You might be able to do the run after your 34 (actual time, not ELD time), run off recap until Monday morning when they fix it. Just make sure the ELD shows 10 hours off too, so if you get pulled over tomorrow you will not be showing a violation.

    driverdriver Thanks this.

My company CAN edit drive line. I cannot. If you call them Monday they might change it. But then if you drive Sunday it will complicate it further. If it helps, I did the exact same thing once. :p
